Information Summary

A summary of the practical information and program can be found in this PDF. Some updates were made and the most recent version of the schedule and posters can be found in this PDF.

The SRS Conference 2026 covers a large range of space science related areas carried out by scientists and technicians working at various Swedish universities and institutes.

The format includes invited talks, an open poster session, the formal SRS annual meeting as well as information from The Swedish National Space Agency, SNSA. The conference is open to everybody, and there is no registration fee. All who register before the deadline are invited to the free conference dinner on the evening of the first day, sponsored by SNSA.

Lotta Edholm, Minister for Upper Secondary School, Higher Education and Research, will visit the SRS Conference on March 25. She is responsible for Space within the Swedish government. Please find below a form that we have created to collect questions from the Swedish Space Research Community to Lotta Edholm. Deadline for submitting questions is March 1, 2026.

Presentation Slides from the SNSA presentation during the conference can be found here

The conference will be held at Stockholm University, Frescati campus, in building Aula Magna. Subway station: Universitetet. Find Aula Magna on Google maps. The dinner will take place at campus Nya Albano, 10-15 minutes walking distance from Aula Magna (link to restaurant).

The SRS Conference will take place at Stockholm University in Aula Magna. The sessions will start on Wednesday at 12:00 and finish on Thursday at 12:10. You get to the Universityโ€™s Frescati Campus by the Subwayโ€™s red line (Line 14 towards Mรถrby Centrum, getting off at โ€œUniversitetetโ€) or by bus 50 (from Odenplan towards Stora Lappkรคrrsberget, getting off at โ€œUniversitetetโ€). Once at the university, follow the red arrow on the map to the main entrance of Aula Magna (address Universitetsvรคgen 11). If you come by taxi, the address is Frescativรคgen 6 and you will arrive at the backside of the
Aula Magna building.

Note that no lunch will be served at the SRS conference. So make sure to eat some lunch in town or at the University campus before arriving at the conference. A list of lunch places at the Frescati Campus can be found on this university website. You will enter the Aula Magna building on the 4th floor. Here you can pick up your name tag. (In case you wonder about the different colours of the tags: The speakers have yellow tags, which helps us attaching microphones to the right persons. Green tags identify people who work with the local organisation and who might be able to help with practical questions.)

The posters will be on display on the 5th floor. If you have a poster, we recommend to set it up before the start of the conference. The spots for putting up the posters are numbered. Please check the number of your poster in the poster list!

You can enter the lecture hall both from the 4th floor and from the 5th floor. Note that it is not allowed to take luggage (suitcases or large bags) into the lecture hall. Luggage can be stored on both days in a room on the 6th floor (Mezzanin). That room is locked with a code that we will hand out. There is an elevator to the 6th floor. Apart from the luggage storage, we also recommend the 6th floor for the nice view.
