SRS Conference 2025, Kiruna
Svenska Rymdforskares Samarbetsgrupp (SRS) holds a national conference every year.ยญ The SRS Conference 2025 will be hosted by The Swedish Institute of Space Physics at the Space Campus in Kiruna. The meeting will begin Wednesday March 26 at 12:00 and finish on Thursday March 27 at 12:10.
After the meeting, Thursday afternoon, there will be an opportunity to
visit Esrange Space Center, https://sscspace.com/esrange/. If you are
interested in that, plan your travel accordingly (there is a flight to
Stockholm 22:15).
The SRS Conference 2025 covers a large range of space science related areas carried out by scientists and technicians working at various Swedish universities and institutes. The format includes invited talks, an open poster session, the formal SRS annual meeting as well as information from The Swedish National Space Agency, SNSA.
The conference is open to everybody, and there is no registration fee. All who register before the deadline are invited to the free conference dinner on the evening of the first day, sponsored by SNSA.
Registration will soon open and a detailed program will be provided below.ย Note however that March is tourist season in Kiruna, so you are advised to book transportation and hotel as soon as possible.

The conference will be held at The Swedish Institute of Space Physics at
the Space Campus in Kiruna.

Travel to Kiruna
There are flights to Kiruna from Stockholm by SAS and Norwegian.ย On
March 26 there is a SAS flight that arrive in Kiruna 09:50.ย On March 27
there are SAS flights that leave Kiruna 14:10 and 22:15.
It is possible to take the train to Kiruna,ย sj.se.ย However, time tables
and tickets are not yet available.ย Usually there is a train that leaves
Stockholm in the evening and arrive in Kiruna in the morning, and a
Stockholm train that leaves Kiruna around 18:00.
Travel in Kiruna
There will be a bus from/to the airport and town right when the meeting
starts/ends.ย There will be a bus to town after the dinner and back the
morning after.
